Lighting products are divided according to the type of redistribution of the light flux of a light source - a lamp - into three classes of light instruments:
- lamps,
- Searchlights,
- projectors.
Redistribution and conversion of the lamp's light flux, as a rule, occurs with the help of reflectors and scatterers.
Fixtures can be conditionally divided into classes
on application: street, industrial, household, office, access (for housing and communal services and HOA), underwater, transport
by light distribution: raster, point, direct, reflected, scattered light
according to the functional: explosion-proof, low-voltage, waterproof, dustproof, rechargeable, anti-vandal
for installation: suspended, recessed, overhead, cantilever, floor, wall, table, ceiling
A diffuser is a profile that covers a lamp emitting a light stream, and thereby provides a more even distribution of light-the scattering of the incident beam, while the scatterer performs protective properties. In the manufacture of diffusers, along with polycarbonate, other polymeric materials from the class of thermoplastics can be used.
In appearance, all polycarbonate profiles and profiles from other plastics can also be conditionally divided into three large areas:
· Closed hollow lighting profiles
- pipes with a circular cross-section
- tubes of different sections: square, rectangular, arbitrary configuration
· Open lighting profiles
- U-shaped
- L-shaped
- I-shaped (flat)
· Monolithic lighting profiles (tubes of different sections without inner cavity)
